This is an intensive 6 day training course & exam where students will learn the cupping & grading protocols required of a certified Arabica Coffee Q Grader.
- Day 1 -3: includes an intro to coffee & instruction. Students will learn cupping, triangulation, green & roasted coffee grading, matching pairs, olfactory & general specialty coffee education.
- Day 4 - 6: involves testing & examinations. Learning objectives are to be able to evaluate a coffee based on its origin, distinguish differences between coffees, & to speak the common language of coffee quality, commonly referred to as the "Q".
Class size: Maximum 24; Minimum 6

If you fail 1 or more test, you don't need to retake the entire course. You can retake only those tests up to 2 retakes.
Should you need to come back for more retakes, our returning students receive a discount. The ultimate goal is to become a licensed Arabica Q Grader, certified by Coffee Quality Institute.
