Using the SCAA-built standards and “Q” Program to calibrate the world's coffee professionals.

What is this Course About?

Perfect your coffee tasting and cupping skills. This is a five day learning course based on sensory aptitude, taste tests and aroma exercises that give you the language and context for grading and tasting specialty coffee. This extended course offers training for the 20+ exams that are administered during week. A passing score for the week certifies you as a SCAA / “Q” Grader.

At the end of each session a SCAA / “Q” Grader will be tested and a sanctioned exam will be given.

Who Should Attend?
Anyone who would like to learn how to cup coffee should attend this course.

What Can I Do with this Certification?
Certification is required to participate on the SCAA Annual Conference “Coffee of the Year” Cupping Pavilion. Certification is also required to volunteer at the annual conference and teach any cupping seminars.

Pre Requisite:
Love of Coffee
COST: $1350 VT
Re-Test Fee: $100 per test.
General Knowledge Exam $200 when taken alone.
